NIHON HE IKU YOTEI/ 日本へ行く予定。
In September of 2006, I shall find myself completely alone, attending my senior year of university at NAZAN UNIVERSITY, located in Nagoya, Japan. here are the kanji which make up its name:
from how i take it, the kanji mean, "distinguished old house/shop/seller/room". whatever....
i will be spending my last year of undergraduate studies putzing around with such classes as:
-japanese language (of course)
-japanese history
-FLOWER ARRANGING!
-calligraphy
i say its a pretty sweet deal, if you ask me. i hope that my host family has a little bunny hop-hop like Magu, here...
in all actuality, im terrified. im terrified to be away from ross for 9 months, terrified to be in a strange country and have to celebrate both new years AND my 24th birthday ALONE, away from friends and family...away from ROSS, the person I need the most out of anyone in the world...terrified that my japanese wont be good enough...
but at least when I return, I will have a wonderful experience under my belt, I'll be fluent in Japanese, I'll be ready to graduate with my B.A. in East Asian Studies, and by that fall, I will be free to move to Toronto to be with Ross and begin graduate school.
